The 1951 Linguistic Institute, co-sponsored by the Linguistic Society of America (LSA) and the University of California, was held from June 11 through July 28. It included thirty courses taught by fifteen faculty, listed below, according to the University of California Register. A special summer meeting of the LSA was also held on campus on July 13-14.
