Applying for LRAP

The Linguistics Research Apprentice Practicum (LRAP) APPLICATION

Apprentices will:

  • Get research experience with a graduate student mentor. 

  • Gain skills and experience with independent linguistic research.

  • Become more competitive candidates for admission to graduate school. 

  • Earn 1-3 units (P/NP) toward graduation (Linguistics 197).

Eligibility:              

  • You must complete Linguistics 100 with a minimum 'B' grade.

  • You can apply while Spring or Fall Ling 100 is "In-Progress".      (Your final grade will be verified before a match is made)

  • LRAP is open to all majors and all class standing  (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior and Senior).        

LRAP matches Linguistics graduate mentors with undergraduate research apprentices.
